At K9 Paws Behavior Dog Training, we specialize in providing comprehensive therapy dog training programs with certification. Our tailored programs equip dogs and handlers with the skills needed to excel in various therapeutic settings.
Welcome to K9 Paws Behavior Dog Training, where we offer a diverse range of Therapy Dog Training Programs tailored to provide comfort and support to members of the community in need. Our trained therapy dogs, accompanied by dedicated handlers, undergo specialized training designed by Marsha, drawing from her extensive 19 years of experience working with various breeds.
Therapy dogs are esteemed pets that reside with their owners, having undergone rigorous training encompassing multiple levels of obedience, AKC CGC classes, and specialized therapy dog training. Our curriculum ensures that both the owner and dog acquire the necessary skills for their chosen therapy work, whether it involves visits to hospitals, major crime scenes, courtroom settings, or providing assistance to first responders during challenging times.
Research has shown the profound calming effect animals have on individuals, aiding in relaxation, memory retention, and focus enhancement. Our program prepares teams to interact with diverse medical equipment, such as wheelchairs, canes, and O2 tanks, ensuring they are comfortable and adept in various environments.
Throughout the training process, teams maintain detailed training logs and engage in group visits to multiple locations, fostering a supportive community and continuous learning environment. Certification renewal is required annually at a cost of $85.00, reflecting our commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and effectiveness in therapy dog teams. Join us at K9 Paws Behavior Dog Training and embark on a rewarding journey of making a positive impact in the lives of others through therapy dog work.
